No LAG here! Yeah... finally, after two years! Now me must wait the plug upgrade. Hope Vlado give us the surprise to add some new VRay-RT feautres (Color Correction support and the new filter for bright AA problem!)
I wish that they would stop making maxes ! They should do an payed update (SAP after 1free rest payable) and cut the shiet with all the troubles that comes with plugins scripts and so on wrrrr >.<
There's another lag - with vray frame buffer.... You can't just drag it's window right after selecting. At start it will freeze and only after approx. 300 millisecods it drags.... Stupid autodesk. Once again we need to wait for a sp1/2/3.
Do you guys did any speed comparesion between clot and mcloth ? From my test mcloth is slower.
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

I thought Vlado said it will be another month before VRay will be released for 2013? Maybe you're a beta tester and dont have the final VRay for it yet?
1. What? No 3rd party tools this time? No Director tools? No RPC plugin, no subtsance etc?
2. viewports speeds seem same to me so far
3. Gradient background, err ok, looks nice
But the single reason to upgrade: You can now pan and zoom like a normal person while creating splines, without having to constantly press "i" like an "i"diot
Viewport, IMO, is much better. No lag, after my very early test ( I hope)
And, th enew 3ds max -> AE is a little portion of zookeeper.
Gradient: much better the script on scriptspot.com. But I use a very dark BG. I don't know why. Gradient disturbs my eyes.
At the end, this sis a REALLY Service pack, not a major release.
In a few short tests of max2013 I'm also seeing less lag, especially when panning, zooming and orbiting.. But a new lag issue have come, switching between shaded and wireframe has become VERY slow, I got scene with a couple of millions polys and switching between shaded and wire takes around 4-5 seconds!!! I tried making a simple scene with spheres and no materials and it gave the same result, also tried making 60mil polys, with that it took 58seconds two switch between the two modes.
Suurland, yes, I note the same lag from wire to Shade mode. But it's nothing respect the middle mouse lag!!! Ok, I know, It's incredible. They remove one lag, bur they add another bug O_O . This is Autodesk (and Nvidia)
