Max 2012 unusable

I must be working in a version of 2012 that no one else has! Everything works perfectly with nitrous/high poly counts. I have no problems with the VFB slow down.
2013 is looking promising too. Everything feels nice and snappy.

Has anyone had Nurbs One Rail Surface fail in 2012? The same file works in 2013.
