  • Naiad - any eta on native VRay rendering ability?

Just wondering, because Vray can render implicit surfaces, much like it does for phx.

I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

I'm not sure that Naiad offers this kind of integration at all. From what I know, their solution is meant to be meshed. I would love to be proven wrong though.

As far as I know they are working on ways to convert Naiad surfaces to .vrmesh files directly, and also to export the particles to a .vrscene file that can then be added to the rendering. It's not the same as direct raytracing of course.
