edit: update, still great, but note the image must be rgb vs. grayscale. (At least for my max2012)
Hello! Has anyone been able to make use of the blend_dxsas.fx in Max2014?!?
It just says, "No Parameters to edit" on almost all of the dx shaders, actually.

Really need to be able to see the images clearly...might have to revert to 2013.

      answer for me

...is to use the StandardFX11.fx shader and use the top diffuse map and enable it, too.
Then it shows pretty blurry, but in configure viewport performance tab, I increased texture maps to 4096 and it is nice and crisp again.

Wish I had made that change months ago!

The old trick didn't work in 2014. But thanks, this one does!

To update this...I think now this works in a vraymaterial's diffuse slot and can skip the whole directX step...
