Anyone run into problems with the Vray license setup utility? I installed W8 on one of my nodes (testing one first). I am trying to point the license utility to my server but it's failing. A message pops up saying "vray error - could not save settings". I've no idea why - any tips?
EDIT: figured it out. Had to go into the advanced properties of the shortcut and check "run as administrator". Then the settings changes took.
EDIT2: just in case anyone runs into it as well: I had to run the vrayspawner.exe in "run as administrator" mode as well or the DR would fail. Other than that, so far so good with Vray and Max 2012 on Windows 8 (as a slave anyway - haven't updated my workstation as of yet).
