I think it will work just fine with win maya build since there is vray for maya linux I guess... not sure gotta see what Vlado say...

Also Vlado regarding V-GPU the decision not to do it for CUDA 5 share memory is it no a bad one? I think there will be PCI4/5/6 gen which will be very fast or as fast as cpu to ram connection we have at the moment. To be left out out of the race might be a bad for Vray GPU... Other engine will probably pick it up. Iray is already doing light patch expressions to get passes out of GPU render and vray is quite quiet... I just hope you guys wont abandon the GPU version :s

        thanks, bye.

And V-Ray has instances and render elements... so?

I just hope you guys wont abandon the GPU version :s
And what if Xeon Phi turns out a better solution?

          Best regards,
          Vlado

Vray rt CPU/GPU can do render elements? :O did not know that one o.o

As to Phi vs gpu... true not sure what will be on top. I guess maybe thanks to PHI nvidia might lover prices on their tesla cards and become more competitive... But then again if PHI could possibly run full Vray production render then nothing beats that

Fingers cross for easy to adapt vray to phi if the performance will be worth it.

Add the full VRay production with this card will be very very great.
I know some studios (which use VRay) keep an eyes on VRay with Xeon Phi...

I hope you will have a card to test soon and give us some news.

We are working on porting the V-Ray code base bit by bit so we are getting closer to having some results; I'll post here as soon as we have something.

                              Best regards,
