A strange thing happened to me, by chance, and I thought I would share. I was fixing an error I was having in MAX, so I renamed MAX's ENU folder (:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3ds maxdesign\2014 - 64bit\ENU), which solved my issue, but it also must have done something else. I stopped a render that had an estimated 8hrs to render. I was going to run it over night, so the render time was no big deal, but..! I am rendering it again, after letting MAX re-create the ENU folder, and it now is rendering in 2 1/2 hrs. So. it might be a fluke, but it might be something to look into.

you have to also bear in mind that reseting ENU also resets all the paths and such.
may be it might be the paths too??
BTW:
i reset ENU almost 2 times a day
for that reason i have created different MAX ENU setups and everytime max craps out, i just simply rewrite the ENU with a saved oneMartin

I don't have anything in my ENU now, except the default. I did back up my scripts menu, so I'll copy that back over.Bobby Parker
