maybe its silly to split them, but i thought the top ones were marketplaces where anyone can upload models to sell. possibly should remove 3dsky.org from it though

I found axyz to not be the best, but the most reliable and quick to drop in without too much fussing. If the cars are not the focal point, they should be good, and easy to use, and don't seem too "heavy." also, for one of humster cars you can get a set of axyz...

There is another shop where we bought a few cars for some projects that had to get done quickly and no cad models were available: http://www.hdri-shop.com/catalog/
But you have the same cons here like in other shops. The headlights and the interior usually don't cut it up close.
                    Cheers,
                    Oliver

Vizpeople also has a small bundle of decent quality car models.
They have a nice Jag XK-E if you're looking for something classic and curvy...

Yeah I've used the free ones they offer and they're quite good. They come pre-proxie'd too with a single multi-material for easy use.

I've got a Axyz Velocity 10 pack. They're good enough, some are better than others. Some you just never see in the UK. A few are good enough for closeups.
I was told to remove a Maserati Quattroporte from a firestation render because they didn't want the locals thinking they had expensive cars. :P

Anyone had a problem with cars not merging properly. Especially with ones from Humster3d. Try to merge and it comes in exploded apart. Tried to unlink and Xform everything but still no dice. Eventually had to make a proxy to get it to work.

                            Thanks - Chris

Another plus for axyz, at least here, I never had a single prob...just merge, place, and go.... Usually good enough since they are only entourage for the architecture.
As Nat said, some are better than others...I have packs 001 and 002. I've added a few random cars over the years that are good, but I always end up still using the axyz cars in most exteriors...just damn reliable.
