Who is usig Nitrous, Who is using direct3d ?

    another thing I have to keep doing on some older files, is to select all the geometry and make sure Backface Cull is turned OFF! That will get you a NICE performance boost too!

        Video cards are now so fast, that it takes the cpu longer to tell the GPU which faces not to draw, than just have the GPU draw everything! It's crazy! Especially in the bigger files.

          I am still on direct3d. Tried Nitrous few times but had 2 major issues:
          - Viewport was not refreshing when move things. Or sometimes things are jumping.
          - Always gets back to realistic mode even I choose shade only (everytime I open files or a new viewport) and couldn't manage to get rid of this.

            I am also having to always switch from realistic to shaded every time...very annoying.

                Hi this is not really a reason, but I did a quick test, and so far that "late update" behavior seems limited to meshes and not polys...
                (max2014 nitrous & quadro600)
