  • Railclone Issue

    Hi all

Anybody have some tips to fix this issue:

I have a railclone object that is creating nasty geometry on tight turns with small radius like so:

Name:	railclone1.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	147.7 KB
ID:	881629

    and like so:

Name:	railclone2.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	147.2 KB
ID:	881630

I just want it nice and smooth in the turns like this version which is my base geometry instanced few times, grouped and then with a bend like so:

Name:	bend.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	124.8 KB
ID:	881631

I have about 30 or so of these splines with different turns that I need to do so a bend won't work. The bend example I used here was just simplified to illustrate the smoothness I'm after
    Kind Regards,

A pathdeform could work, but that will take too long

Try upping the spline interpolation (sorry IDK if that is the actual name but you should find it looking for that) in the railclone object itself. IIRC it is in the rollout not the graph view. You can turn it up to a ludicrous number like 1000 or even higher if you need to.

What if the curve path is on the inside edge rather than outside?

Try the itooforums; they are very helpful and quite fast.

spline should be on inside and it should be okay.
