If you aren't sure of what the cpu specs are just type it into google and check the ark intel site, it will tell you how many logical/physical cores and clock speeds a processor should have.

On a side note too, my home WS with the specs below keeps up to my HP Z820 that I use at the office at factory speed and if I kick it up to 4.0-4.3 GHz then it slightly surpasses it

          Z820 Specs:
          2X Xeon E5-2650, 64GB of ram
          Cheers,

As long as you get a good CPU cooler on it that one should rock pretty good. I had mine rendering for a week solid and in a room that averaged 18C to 20C the CPU ran about 45C to 50C the entire time

I literally work my Dual Xeon almost 24/7. A better machine will either allow me to get some sleep or I can double up my workload.

I've had good luck with these guys. They warrant their overclocking and have good prices. http://www.cyberpowerpc.com

Not bad! About 1/2 the price of the BOXX, but I am not educated enough to know the finite details.http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Power_Mega_Pro_CAD

Do you have a recommendation? To tell you the truth, I just look at RAM and bypass anything less than 32GB, assuming the more the money the better the PC.
