i have an old warehouse to do, and the brick is being left in existing condition in a few key places. its dirty and random, but has large clearly defined patches of different brick colour.
i can either do some absolutely huge maps, which will be a right pain, or model them and create a pile of individual brick textures. that way i can go in and select the areas of brick that need a different finish.
i thought about floor generator, but a) it always fails for me on complex outline shapes (as in anything with a curve) and b) it only works on horizontal surfaces which is a pain.
ideally id like something i can slap on whole objects and have it deal with the corners etc as well...
options?
i could try using vraypattern, but i dont think its ideal, plus i was hoping to render this in rt gpu.
