  • UVW Unwrap

    I have a funky brick ledge, so I am trying to unwrap it. All works, but when I go to use the texture, that I painted in PS, it doesn't fit. Shouldn't it just fit?

    I have the poly, and then I put a UVW Unwrapper on it. When I save the image out, I open it up in PS and paint it. Once I do that I apply that texture to the poly's diffuse material.

    it should fit, yes. how did you do the unwrapping?

      I pick the wall, apply an uvw Unwrap modifier, render it out from the UVW Unwrap diolog, open it up in PS and paint on it. Once done I do nothing with the modifier; I add the map to the diffused slot of the material.

        so it's just a flat plane? try to load the map you painted in the edit uvws dialog and see how it matches the geometry, you can try adjust it manually from there if it doesn't fit.

          Can you print screen what the UVW editor looks like and the texture in the object in the viewport?
