  • max 2016 strange problem when grouping objects

Create object, mirror it with instance and try to group ! It's falling apart. Oh and when you ungroup it it's going back to it's correct place

    here's what happens: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hf6mbso46e...group.mp4?dl=0

    Anyone else have it?!

for me the same, comes with SP2 !

also for existing groups (build in previous SP) you cannot detach or ungroup.group elements get mirrored in all axis over the pivot...

      THAT IS A MASSIVE PROBLEM

Yeah I'm also on SP2 so I guess it's SP2 problem if Chris is okay on his SP1 . I'm also using wacom tablet and with assigned middle button for pen button to rotate the view with alt It's sometimes doesn't work and I have to Z object and then it works again.

Well, I've just linked an object in SP2 and it immediately inherited the scale of the parent, which is obviously not good!

I'm guessing this is all part of the same problem.

I just ran into this grouping problem yesterday in sp2 - drove me bat shit crazy. So then I thought I would just settle with parenting dummy objects as a workaround - Nope

                Here's what happens

would be good if you all report the bug to autodesk and maybe post your examples.
                  i reported over help-speak back-report a problem.dont know if it´s the most effectiv way

we think of deinstalling sp2...first time in years

anyone idea if there maybe problems after deinstalling a SP ??

I've uninstalled SP2 with no problems so far. It took its sweet time though, took 40 minutes on one of the machines!

I've only ever reported bugs as a Beta tester. Do you know how/where to submit bug reports to Autodesk? I've looked but keep finding dead ends.

Also getting this problem trying to prep a car in schematic view, break links and parts move all over the place, increments of 90 degree's, and scaling, 2016 sp2
Try the exact same process in 2014 and all is good! Very strange for a bug, thought I had a setting wrong, or autodesk changed something
