  • Multiple uv sets- help!

    Hi,

I'm trying to apply a displacement map to a tire sidewall and need to use multiple uv sets for this.

I have created different uv sets for each texture and linked them with uv linking but no matter what all textures are still using the default uv sets.

    Can anyone help?

I have followed all tutorials for this even trying a simple plane and can't seem to get it to work

Not sure if it will work, but maybe worth trying... select the texture placement node of your textures one by one, add the extra "2D placement options" V-Ray attributes to then and specify the name of the UV set that you want the texture to use.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

your tire checked uvs have no uvs in the model so its blank. If I connect checker to diffuse Uv it renders on that uv set while side wall renders on the wall uv set fine.

you dont really need to use the uvlinker anyway, if you use additional 2d placement options.

if its viewport 2.0 absolutely not

viewport 2 is the buggiest worst implemented feature in maya since I can remember.
