Sure you can trick the storewebsite with using a VPN but most of the time at the payment stage they will still check your bank information/location against your IP location. So lets say you have an US IP and told the store you live in the US but your bank says your home address is in Europe the payment won't go through.

And it looks like most of the SW vendors adopted this quite discriminating policy of charging the same amount in dollars and euros :-/

A few years back, when a € was almost worth a 1.50$, it was tempting to buy a permanent license outside europe. But AD clearly stated in their conditions that you couldn't buy the license outise of your country or at least continent. Bah.

I was told just yesterday by somebody from AD that those licenses won't work in other regions. Seems my region don't have any special promotions either.

Yes, sure... Even if AD is all but not creative....
It's a big big dilemma for me, I guess I 'm not the only one.... stay with AD and try to get the best out of 3DSMAX or go away and try Blender or something else...

I will be interesting to see if AD's stock goes up or tanks. Is software still being cracked and will more people go that route, or will people jump ship? The price of one seat is a small % of my monthly budget, but for a lot of people it's just too much money. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Funny i was thinking the same thing. Lots of people do it.
Youre only allowed to grow something like 5 plants. While you grow it its fine, but when you dry it, and provided you have good plants - then you find yourself in illegal zone because you can only have certain amount of dried weed (few grams).
But it would be a nice hobby if it did not stink of prison ))

But I heard you guys can get a license to grow medical one. Do not apologize it's not a drug, it's a plant with a lot of healing properties and finally people are starting to realize it after years of lies produced by US government.
