I don't use Maya but have downloaded Maya LT demo for checking if a model can be transfered to max easily. I have exported as fbx and obj but the coords for a composite texture in maya does not seem to transfer to max at all. Totally confused about what is happening.
I basically have a number of decals over an object and they display find in Maya. When I view them in max they are not correctly placed. I thought that the UVW's might be on a secondary uvw channel but this is not the case. The decal doesn't seem to have any special uvw coords within the Maya material.
Any ideas how is placing a decal over an object without specific coords for the texture ?
