  • 3ds Max 2016: Tool/Script for Camera Dolly/Zoom

    Hi,

I faintly remember a tool that allows you to basically change perspective by dollying the camera in and out while at the same time changing focal length to keep the framing.
I just cannot remember the name of that thing. I think it was a script, however I am not sure of this. Can you guys point it out for me? It should work with the new PhysicalCamera of 3ds Max 2016.

Edit: Ideally this would work as a camera modifier which lets me keep all my cam settings, adjust them etc and just change perspective with a spinner or something similar.

    cheers

Either this one or this one should do what you want.

      Hey Nico,

Thanks for those Links but I'm not sure if you understood me correctly or if I'm missing something. I'm looking for something that lets me create a Vertigo Effect. I actually WANT the perspective to change. Basically if I look at an image in the camera view and decide "Hm I want to have the subject shot with a wider angle lens" instead of adjusting the camera focal length, then having to dolly in/out again to keep my framing, I want to have a spinner where I can create a vertigo effect until the image pleases me and I hit render
