  • Presets makes life easier

    Hi.
Can you add preset setting for white balance like V-Ray for 3ds max version? it's more easier to get daylight or neutral white balance with presets in v-ray for 3ds max.

One trick I sometimes use is to render with material override on and sample a wall or a ceiling that is not hit by direct sunlight. I use these RGB values to set the whitepoint. But hopefully V-Ray Next for Sketchup is around the corner so it is automatically set!

      Best,
      Peter

Apologies for the confusion! The page is now edited. There are no presets in V-Ray 3 for SketchUp. The leftover misleading info has been copied directly from another V-Ray product page.
There is currently no plan to add any WB presets. V-Ray Next for SketchUp, however, will introduce Automatic Exposure and Automatic White Balance.

          Kind regards,
          Peter

Good to hear that it worked. And any ETA on Vray Next?

Too early to say. First, there will be a beta which has not been announced yet. Once it concludes we will be able to provide more info on the official release.

              Kind regards,
              Peter
