  • my renders are upside down!

Just like that, Vray starts putting my renders up side down.

I restarted Rhino, but to no avail.

    What happened here??

No idea, never seen here. You could try a V-Ray option reset at the asset editor.

This happens to me too from time to time, especially if I am to close to an object and the scene is really big.
is it possible it has to do with dof settings?

Dof is off, but I had it on some time before it happened.

If I reset the asset editor, which setting will be reset? Just the camera, output and DOF, or also environment, lighting, volumetric etc etc...In which case I'd loose a lot of my scene set-up....

Seems like all is gone then. I checked in a separate file.

Luckily I had exported VRAY scene file some time ago, so after loading it, things were back to normal again.

We were aware of this occurring when using custom render settings loaded from a previous V-Ray version (2.0 and older). Please be informed that loading ‘.vropt’ or ‘.visopt’ files created in previous V-Ray versions is not recommended. Some outdated parameters may cause unexpected results.

Keep in mind that, being part of the render settings, any Environment textures will also be disconnected and colors reset.

In this case, all setting were created in the current version. It flipping up-side down must be related to something else.

I think I found the bug.

                look at this:

It happens if you set dof to fixed point and move the camera beyond the focus pont
The weird thing is that it's there even after I deactivate dof.

Might well be, it happened to me after setting DOF to fixed point as well.
