  • final render problem- difference frame buffer final image

    hello, I always have a problem; I use vray gpu update 1.3;
    as you can see the render that I see in the frame buffer is completely different from the render that I save (png or jpeg is the same); the image is always very dark and then I modify it in fotoricco. But I don't understand why it happens.
    How can I solve?
    The first is the frame buffer; the second is the render image; the third is the image in post-production (with some aberrations)
    Thanks for the support
    Matteo

    is it possible that the problem is the layer display correction? (I have it by default)

      Indeed, the display correction states "Display Only", so any change made to it (f.e. exposure) won't be carried over.
      Try ticking on "Save RGB Primaries conversion to Image" to see if that makes a difference (in which case, you're likely not rendering properly under LWF.).
      If everything fails, feel free to send support a vrimg (from the history folder. right-mouse click on the history entry for a quick way to get to the image.), and they'll figure it out for you.

        thanks for the support Lele;
        i tried with rgb primaries conversion but it is always the same.
        I contacted the support with a ticket because I have some urgency for this job delivery and let's see how to solve the problem.
        I think it's some display / gamma / color correction problem
        thanks a lot

          You can always ctrl+C to copy the image you're viewing into clipboard, and paste it back into Photoshop.
          It should look identical (provided PS is set up right.).

            what format are you saving out to from vray? If its exr, theres your problem. Save to png from Vray and itll bake in your colour corrections.

              hi, thanks for the support;
              I tried to do ctrl + c and copy the image in photoshop;
              with this method it is the same as the frame buffer;
              I always save the image in 48 bit png or jpeg
              I attach image copied in photoshop

                  Hi matteo_speri,

                  Can you please check if you are saving the effectResult channel? Note that all the Color corrections, Lens Effects, Denoise, LightMix corrections are saved within the effectResult.

                        Hi jarmo2127 could you describe your issues in details? There is a lot commented in this thread and the thread and the last post is from 2021. What are your V-Ray and 3ds Max versions? A visual example of your issue will be very helpful as well.

                            Hi jarmo2127 if you are a Rhino user please post your question in the Rhino section. In 3ds Max you will have effects result channel if you have enabled it or if you are using VRayDenoiser. I am not sure how things are in Rhino.
