I have the same issue. Did you ever find a way to get the Chaos Scatter plugin to work?

Uninstalling it from the windows "apps and programs" works to remove the scatter plugin and gets rid of the error when launching 3ds but not super helpful if you want to use the scatter plugin.

I'm trying to figure out how to get it working rather than uninstalling and haven't found a solution yet.

I had a similar issue when I was testing Vray 7 Beta on Max 2023 and support even tried to help me by doing a remote session, they never figured out what the issue was, I don't have the problem with 2025.
