Can any body please tell me how can we control color bleeding in vray?

    Thanks

By using the saturation value in the global illumination setting in the vray rendering settings.

Is there no way to keep the color bleeding under control in the free version of Vray?

There is the old school way.
If you have a white room with a red carpet, and the red is bleeding too much onto the rest of the room. you can calculate your IR map with a white carpet (just replace texture with a standard white color or a slightly red one if you still want some color bounce) then save that IR map and put back the old carpet texture and then render again using the saved IR map.

You can also turn down the generate GI in the vray properties for the object.
(right click on the object in the viewport and choose Vray properties, or thru the vray system rollout in the render panel, click the object properties button.)
