The build will be there later today, I've just started it on the build machine.
Maya fur is not working though. This build has support for Maya Hair. They are very different internally. Autodesk have just confirmed there is no way to access Maya fur, so we have to either try to simulate its behavior ( much like procedural textures) or enhance the V-Ray Fur options.
excellent, thank you vladimir!
ah i misread, i thought it was maya's fur system. no worries though, vray fur is pretty spectacular as it is... should be fun to play with maya hair in vray

last time I looked at nightly builds the win maya2010 was not ready (some day ago) but i will try that mith maya hair even if i don't have much experience with hair.
here is a little test with Maya hair/Vray. As i said before, i am not really familiar with maya hair, so i used a preset and tried to match my model.
One rendered on one node and the other with DR. Normally there are no textures, only procedurals, but i will investigate why we have black squares.... (maybe a bug ? / used Feb 22 build)
It's the same build, but when i install i get (on the end of install process) an error message: "an error occured during installation, do you want to undo......"
No, it shouldn't be a problem. Do you get any errors in the slave window ? And what V-Ray version and date does it show ? I've just tested the distributed rendering with Maya hair and saw no problems.
