  • Query regarding Vraymtl wrapper

    Hi all,

I am trying to render a scene in Maya 2008 using vray, I was wondering how can I plug in vray mtl wrapper to an object to get matte. I have been trying to use Surface shader but it takes long time to render. I saw on few posts in max related forums where they say, vraymtl wrapper renders fasters.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

    Thanks again

You just need to assign a VRayWrapperMtl material to the object, and then attach the "real" material to the wrapper (as the base material).

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

awwww Valdo.. i am sry.. My version of vray for maya doesn't have some of the materials and settings.. I guess that was the problem. I installed a demo version of vray for maya and now I can use the vray material wrapper in hypershade..
