  • Grass Sea

Recently I started new plugin for VRay.

It works similarly with 2D displace, but It uses any geometry instead of height map.
I thing, this will be good solution for grass. Amount of grass is unlimited and It doesn't spend memory. It work pretty fast.

The first picture (1200x900px) takes about 2 hours for 2.4Gh quad core processor.
    sorry for my English

Looks great - need any testers? Does it work in DR?
    www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

At this moment It is in first stage of development. Some features doesn't work yet, like smooth groups of reference geometry and texture coordinates.
In fact, I use another ray traced algorithm inside my objects, so I have to implement all this things by myself.
I think there will not be any problem with DR.

Let me know if you need any testing done. It looks rather good so far. How does the render time (2 hours for the small 1200x900px render) compare to other techniques?
            Kind Regards,

What can you suggest to generate such grass amount? MultiScatter can't do this. Too big square.
