  • Question, creating dust, Phoenix-->Pflow?

    Hi,
    I was wondering is it possible to take a phoenix smoke simulation back to PFlow to render a small percentage of particles, eg using a smoke sim for dust or flying embers? Or is this something you can do in Phoenix without the need for Pflow?

    phoenix registers PF operators for dragging,birth, and test of particles so it should be not a hard task.

        Does the Phoenix PFlow Birth Operator support negative ranges? i.e. starting frame -500 etc. I often preroll sims or deal with animated sequences where this is needed.

          yes it should support negative frames. do you have any problems with the negative frames, or just asking in case?

            Just asking, I just often use negative ranges/preroll in realflow and pflow. Just thinking about workflow, just researching at the moment, there is not much info out there on phoenix atm.
