  • Colorize bug???

    Hi all...

I've hit a wall with this one...

When i try to use the same SketchUP textured material, i.e. a material from the included library that uses a bitmap texture, on different geometry in the scene by making different versions of it through the colorize option, the colors render distorted...

Any idea as to why this happens??

ps. I've tried creating different VRAY linked materials for each version, but the problem still remains...

    Re: Colorize bug???

    Hi parias! Welcome!

I've noticed this vray peculiarity too, but i don't think it is a bug.
Simply, this feature is not supported (yet): you (AND ME) may put this in our WISHLIST!

If you want to apply the same texture, but varied a little in its colors, the only way to get it is to modify your native texture in any photo-retouching program (gimp, photoshop..you choose) and save the new one with a different name, then you can use it as you would for any other texture.

I hope (like you) they can improve the colorize compatibility! ;D

    CHEERS!

+1 on the ability to control brightness/contrast/hue/saturation etc.. within the vraymaterial editor. (Just like it works in Fry render).
The sketchup color settings for materials are kind of lousy
