  • Newbie Question?

good pm guys, newbie here, question, can i change my light blue-ish sky to an image of a real sky? i've seen models that has that 360 sky image, checked with styles no option there, only change in color? thanks for those who can give hints or tips

OT: i've posted this question to someone elses thread, can i do multiple render in vray? (like exporting each scenes in multiple frames, like scene 1 to scene 2 i can export like 30 frames, can i also do that in vray? it'll be really great if i can do that, so i can leave my pc to render all day long for a scene hehe ??? :P ;D

    thanks :-*

Options > Environment > Clickon the 'm' next to background > in the texture editor set the Type to 'bitmap' > change UWV to envoronment and the mapping to Spherical > click on the 'm' under bitmap and load your image.

Did u see a black background in the V-ray Frame buffer or only when u saved the render?

Increase the background bitmap multiplier- somewhere between 10 and 100 is usually good for jpg backgrounds.

Are you using the latest VfSU version (V.01.05.30)?

i know, but again stupid question, where can i find the version of the vray that i'm using? :P ??? (checked in option - about - only showed a link to asgvis?

oh plus other question, lately i've been getting this error window: failed to create a temporary file name
(error 80: the file exists.) i think it has something to do with the omni lights?

                            Re: Newbie Question?

There should be a version number under the ASGvis link. Best contact ASGvis or your reseller, seems to be something wrong with your software.

another way to find out is:
do you have to use linked vray material or are the SU materials linked automaticly?

When I had the old version I couldn't find what version I'm either. (Or not easy) so I think he has the old version.
