    Re: dark interior ambient occlusion

I can only select a colour for the global material override. You got some special super-secret version?
Just make the material that you want to use as the override material and name that material as "VRayOverrideMaterial". V-ray is going to use the new material instead of the color.

Oh yea! I knew that - just forgotten it! :-[
Maybe it can be added to the tooltip of the override button?
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

guys? is there a way to use AO in artificially lit interiors? i have this scene where i only used vray light as light source, not the vray sun. no windows, no doors. i tried to use AO but for obvious reason, it turned out black. maybe theres a work around here or something.

Sometimes it is good to do a little search on the forum.

Use emissive material with dirt on it and turn off all the lights and even the GI.
