2 sided material, 1 side texture other side nothing.

is it possible to create a 2 sided material that has a bitmap on one side and nothing at the other side.

I use a cylinder for my background, and i want the sunlight to shine through the background picture.. (sunset)

Post a Screencapture of your scene of the perspective view.

have you tried a 2side material with one material that has in the diffuse transparency?

It think it worked by not selecting a 2nd material for the back..
First i tried to use a transparant material for the back.. But that didn't worked.
maybe i had some settings wrong.. i don't know.

But i can't post the picture.. It's for a client... Makes things difficult.

If there are some better solutions i would like to hear them

but still not clear what is the problem...light is not passing through the surface?

It's possible and I use it often to get special "unseen by camera or lights" effects.
