Hi all,
I have a chance to get a Dell PRECISION T5400 workstation with an Intel E5410 XEON QUAD CORE 2.33GHZ chip.
It has 4 Gigs of DDR-2 RAM, a 220 Gig SATAII Harddrive and an ATI HD4550 Video Card.
I am also told the mother board can take another XEON QUAD CORE making it an 8 core machine and RAM can be upgraded to 8 Gig.
Its running Windows XP Professional 64 bit.
The price isn't bad but still in negotiations.
What do members think of the spec though for running VRAY? Will the Quad chip help with render times and would it be worth getting adding the other XEON quad core chip if so?
Thanks in advance
Rob
