Camera inside a car.

I need to make an animation of the following.
1. Starting by driving a car to a building,
2. park the car,
3. getting out of the car and walk away.

I tried to place a camera inside a car at the drivers seat, but its proving to be very difficult to let both the car and the camera follow the same path.
Both the car and the camera place themselves in the middle of the path and i need the camera the be in the drivers seat.

Does anyone have any advice on how to do this?

animate the car along the path. place the camera in the car, link camera to car.

Do you mean the 'Select and Link' in the top left corner of the toolbar?
I tried it before but after a select the camera I couldn't select the car to link it.
I'll try again, mayby I tried to select a misplaced layer or so.
