i was wondering, who in here can really say they understand vray so well that they can explain it all and do anything in any situation? i wish i understood it all, i understand alot of things but i don't think i know more than 50% of what it can really do. so who here can really say they know all the parameters and can explain it? am now embarking on a journey and study of vray because i think i use it so often i should understand it meanwhile i do it and i can be able to say to someone else what this is is for and what that is and how they work with each other.

I know Fernando can answer pretty much any question. I think he also does training too, you can ask.

ok, my first question is this, why is the system parameters for sketchup different from those in 3ds max on default, as i read there is a matter of speed involved with these settings and render time

Just a quick thumbs up - I think you all did a great job with the default settings for the current version. I can easily tweak it for interior, exterior, combination, etc. and serves me very well.

well i am working towards it then, its already in my goals list. you guys are truely inspiring. one more question, "MAX DEPTH "in global switches. it increases the amount of reflection by duplicating the same reflection of an object reflected on or off another object? if so, why would we do this? isn't it correct to have only one of what is reflected to get a true reflection of an object's environment?
