VRay vs. VRayRT image quality difference?

    Are you using vrayHDRI within your dome (or for any other kind of usem, eg env reflection)?
    I discovered discrepancies between production and RT when changing render/overall mult and gamma in the map.
    I'm on max but this is exactly the issue i had while testing car rendering like you did.

      Interesting, but I am not using vrayHDRI. I am using standard VRay Dome light with no HDRI map.

        I am close to making a call that this is a bug. No matter what I do within the general production rendering settings and in RT it changes nothing. Global production settings for Global max depth ignore shader settings. When the global setting is activated it still doesn't render correctly. I hope someone can take a look at this.

            Thanks Vlado, this is a critical issue for us. I am trying to have Vray become our number one tool for visualization across all departments.

              So V-Ray RT was wrong in this case, even if it looked more pleasing. This will be corrected in the next nightly build. The issue was in the treatment of the opacity for the material.
