  • Does vrmesh store textures in itself?

Just curious. Once I created a vrmesh, does it include texture into itself? Or still referring to the original image data?

The .vrmesh file does not store any material information.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

When we're reusing the vrmesh in other scene, the materials need to be recreated?

Yes. (On the other hand, this gives you the ability to adjust materials after the .vrmesh is created.) Some people create a Maya file with the proxy inside with the appropriate materials attached, and then just reference that file.

          I see. Thanks Vlado

Another thing I'm curious. Can you do distributed rendering with batch renders?

Yes, however you will need to set up the DR server list on the machine that initiates the DR render.
