  • Different material behavior in RT and "normal" render engine

    Hello all,

i adjusted the lights in an interior scene in RT which seemed to be a very usefull way.
Now the metal in RT is significant more light sensitive than in the "normal" render engine. Other (also highly reflective) materials seem to behave the same. Also there appear alpha channels for transparent materials in RT though alpha contribution is set to 1 and material id is black. Any hints?

    Kind Regards

can you show us some screen capture of the issue. One with Rt and the other with the production render. Or even better, can you send us a scene file?

hello there, i stripped down the scene and added the renderings and the 3dm file to a zip.
The "metal-problem" was caused by a missing GI-texture. Having this fixed, the pictures look pretty much the same. But though i am wondering how the RT still renders as if the texture path would not have been broken.

      The alpha channel issue remains.
      Thank you for bothering...
      Kind Regards

hmmm somehow i am not allowed to attach the 3dm file. Its too big (11MB - caused by render settings)
