ply2vrmesh with houdini bgeo?

    It the alembic stores a single big mesh and this mesh is not fully visible in the rendering, then probably using a vrmesh file will be better.
    Vrmesh files store the meshes as voxels, so V-Ray can load just some of them. I don't think we do subdivision on the fly when loading alembic files.

    If there are multiple/many meshes inside the file then there won't be such a difference. I think.
    Generally it is best to test how it will behave with your data and choose the proper solution.

      i remember that i didnt had any problems with converting bgeo/bhclassic into a vrmesh...

      if you can could you share one bgeo file?
