I'm upgrading from Rhino V4 and previous version of V-Ray to Rhino V5 with V-Ray 1.5. The operating system is Windows 7 Pro (64bit).
The dongle is recognized. V-Ray license service shows in the Taskbar.
Get status of the server indicates 0 licenses total, engaged or free.
"1. Open a web browser and in the address bar enter "http://someserver:30304/upgrade " where "someserver" is the name or IP address of the machine where the V-Ray licensing service is running (or localhost if you are on that machine). This will open the following web page:"
This step does not work. "The server at www.someserver.com is taking too long to respond." "The server at www.localhost.com is taking too long to respond."
When I try to render in V-Ray 1.5 for Rhino I get this message: "Preparing renderer... Could not obtain a license (-9"
I've never encountered such an overly/complicated installation. Can someone please help? Thank you.
