  • VRay RT 3.0 Limitations

    Hi guys

Does anyone have any idea what exactly VRay RT 3.0 does NOT support?

    Thanks in advance

    CPU or GPU?

    Best regards,

      Gpu

Sorry, that was my bad not to mention.
My question was about GPU computation.

Thank you so much for the comprehensive list.
So isn't it possible to render an animation using the incremental feature of Irradiance Map and Light Cache?

In the current version, RT GPU supports brute force / brute force only.
We may add support for light cache with some of the service packs.

                Thanks again

So, for the time being, using RT as the production renderer seems the same as using an unbiased render engine ... is that right or I'm making a mistake?

Yes, that's correct; RT GPU uses unbiased GI solution (brute force / brute force) and this most likely will be extended to support Light Cache in the (near) future.

Yes, should work on both, RT CPU and GPU, but the last one doesn't respect the opacity slot yet.

I will try to make a basic table of the supported/unsupported features later today.
