  • Multi Matte ID on the inputs of a blend material don't render

I noticed that the Multi Matte ID on the inputs of a blend material don't render out.
Also from some threads on the forum I understand that Material ID does work.

So, In this thread from 2012:
    http://forums.chaosgroup.com/showthr...ti+matte+blend
Mr. Vlado posts "this should be fixed for the next bight build".

Also from this thread from july 2013 I understand this should be fixed:
    http://forums.chaosgroup.com/showthr...ht=blend+matte
It says fixed for the internal build. But the question is about 2.30.

I cannot reply on these threads so that's why i created this new one.

Is there some way to get the Multi Matte ID on BlendMtl to work on vray 2.40.xx ?
Is the Material ID render element or a seperate render-layer with material-override/surface-shader the only solutions?

This issue has been fixed in 2.40.04 version and you could extract MultiMatte masks from materials inside VrayBlendMtl.

You could also extract materials with VrayMtlSelect Render Element.
RenderID and ObjectID elements could be also used to extract masks but they are working with objects not materials.

thank you Svetlozar Draganov. I'm going to experiment with the VrayMtlSelect. Haven't used that before. Thanks for reply!
