I have an alembic of nurbs curves that was written out of Houdini. When I render it in Houdini it is a smoothly interpolated curve but when I render it as an abcvrmesh within Maya it renders as a segmented and jagged curve. Is there a way for me to get a smoothly interpolated curve through abcvrmesh? Adding the subd and tesselation attributes don't seem to work on it.

Rendering nurbs in abcvrmesh

Is it possible to share the file so we can have a look?
Does it render better if you import it with the Maya alembic importer?

I will look into sharing the file. As a test, we imported the alembic with the Maya importer and added "renderable curves" and then decreased tessellation amount and it rendered as a smooth curve.
Is there a way to add the tesselation attribute to the abcvrmesh in Maya or is it an attribute I can add to the alembic in Houdini? If it is something that I can add in Houdini what is the attribute called / spelled and what type of data is it?

The tesselation attributes will only work on nurbs objects directly in maya. When they are in abc and loaded via proxy it will not work.

Instead of using Maya to control these attributes, we would like to assign the attribute in Houdini. That way we can only tesselate what we need to. If we could assign the attribute straight to the geometry to override Maya, we would have more control.
