  • Combining Bump and Normalmapping in one Shader

I want to add some Scratches to a Shader that already has a Bumpmap.
To do so I used a VrayBumpMaterial. The Already Bumped VrayMtl is the Base Material and the BumpMtl is adding the Normalmap.

That works so far but it Renders very slow. It nearly doubled my rendertimes. Is there any other way to use Normal- and Bumpmapping at the same time?

The BumpMtl is probably the best option, you may also try BlendMtl and see if it gives more acceptable render times.

It's odd that it is so slow. I think it should be pretty fast... do you think you can post a scene so that I can check what's going on?

      Best regards,
