  • Quick look at 3.0

Hello, thank you for releasing version 3.0 demo.
    In one word, Great improvements!

If I click on the simulation of any type of water etc, by default the liquid preview should be used.

would be great: phoenix FD saturation of the flames - single and nice control for the colors. The default is a way over saturated and go trough all colors and mess with the saturation takes time.

How to set up the wave direction in phoenix fd? This wave texture coordinate rotation is a little too simple I think... maybe and icon or a direction in the waveforce.

I think the most important thing is the saturation, well real life they are much less considering my own observing, and it is a little bit much in the today's artistic world.

    Thank you,
    LB

one more thought: I think it would be pretty easy to make a constantly growing and shrinking domain for sea water simulation. The other end would use a decay variable so that it would bland into the oceans waving. This way you could save unimaginable time and resources.

+1 I think the flame system is not perfect, because the shape of the flames not really coming real-ish. I will think on this in terms of temperature humidity, chemistry etc. I think its not that big deal to put it into a generalized formula...

      Hey,

Thanks very much for the suggestions! The presets still do need some refining and should be considered only as a quick starting point. We'll improve them over time

      Cheers!

a tip on the fire saturation, try render in Exponential colour mapping mode. It does look more realistic and friendlier for comping
