is it possible to use the ocean simulator to render out a tiling image?

in the old phoenix versions we had border options for tilling, however it appeared to be almost no used and in the flip core was not implemented.
i suppose you need this texture for a game engine, because otherwise you would use the ocean texture, right?______________________________________________

beside tilling in x and y direction, you need time loop as well
unfortunately phoenix is not focused on such applications and can't be helpful here.
actually we spent significant effort to make our ocean texture to not tile, if i'm not wrong there is a water texture in vray for maya, that is tilled, but the looping problem still remains______________________________________________

You could try out the Houdini Ocean Toolkit 3ds Max plugin: http://www.maxplugins.de/max2017.php...an&sort=Author
Its main limitation is that it only does tiled, looping oceans, but that sounds like exactly what you needRune Spaans
