  • Ocean rendering with spherical cam

    Hi all,

Presumably I can't post in the problems forum because I don't have a license myself but the studio I'm working for at the moment has one.

I'm trying to add a phoenix ocean to a HDRI sky and then render it out for use as a HDRI. I think the ocean isn't recognising that I've set the camera to spherical + 360 FOV and isn't rendering it. Is there a way to solve this?

    I've attached the render below.

    Cheers,

    Max

    Hello,

Currently this feature is not supported but it's in the to do list so I hope we can get to it soon.

    Thanks,

If it's just an ocean surface you need, you could just use a plane with vraydisplacement using the ocean texture.

That would work nicely, thanks for the suggestion Gavin! As you can probably tell I'm quite new to Phoenix
