  • Vray 3 : First attempt

    Hello,
I'm a old user of Vray 2 and the UI is completely new for me.

I can't reach the "Physical Camera" On button. So I have to configure the camera by myself.

Here you can find 2 camera configuration.
    The first is too dark.
The 2nd give my object render to bright has you can see.
The 3rd I try to cheat with the background increase.

Can you help me to have the right color?

The 2nd picture is about the background, any options I put (spherical; wrap or something else) it doesn't change anything, do you think it's about the RT render?

    Peace

    Hello,

There is a number of major workflow changes introduced in V-Ray 3.4 for SketchUp. One of them is making the Physical camera always on.
You can find an article on most of the changes at https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...vious+Versions

The environment map quality has major impact on the scene lighting. Do not be afraid to increase the Environment multiplier if the slotted hdr/exr image is too dark.
Alternatively, you can use Dome Light with the same image texture. Once you've set up sufficient lighting, feel free to experiment with the camera exposure value until achieving desired result.

    Kind regards,
    Peter

      Hello Peter,

Thanks I try to find the right config, but it's way more complicated to me.

Last question, I can't cast my shadow on the floor.
      The wrapper appear black....

Do you have an idea why? (Check picture)

        Update:

Some problem disapear with the Dome + HDRI.

But my major problem: I can't fixe the overlight on my object.

        Why is this so bright?

Could you please send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com (accompanied with a link to this forum thread) so we can take a closer look and advise accordingly?
Use Extensions > V-Ray > Export > Pack Project to archive it in a single file.

            Kind regards,
            Peter
