  • Ocean flicker with Redshift

    Hi there
I am learning the amazing Phoenix FD. I have Phoenix FD Liquid Sim with Phoenix Ocean Vector map in the displacement slot. There is no simulation and I am rendering in Redshift. The result is quite nice, but I encounter weird flicker as you can see in the video. Around the time 0:02 there is a jump in, as it seems, Ocean subdivs. I can't pin point the source of the problem, nor say if it is problem of Phoenix or Redshift. When I change different settings the problem occurs on a different random frame, also it looks like when I am not using moving camera, the problem is gone, but I am not sure. Any help will be very apprecieted.
Thank you and have a great day!

Looks like you have caches from two different simulations. My suggestion is to delete all the cache and simulate again

Thanks for sending the scene! It was an issue when looking at a subdivided simulator surface could change the ocean detail drastically during animation. The fix will be in tomorrow's nightly builds

Oh sorry, I forgot I sent it also here. Thank you again Svetlin!
If someone has the same problem, try to move simulation box out of camera view. Just a fast workaround before the nightly build.

Hello, Svetlin. Sorry to bother you again I thought I found a solution moving the simulation box out of camera view, unfortunately, the horizon of generated infinite ocean jitter. Something that simulation box doesn't do. I am at home at the moment and I cant download the nightly build as I am on trial version. Do you have any idea how can I workaround this issue, please?

Thank you for your suggestion George. Unfortunately I dont using any simulation. It is just displacement.
