  • Vray Light enormous after reinstalling Vray

I recently had a license error when rendering in Maya with V-ray. I reinstalled V-ray and the license, seems like it renders again. Unfortunately, now whenever I open my scene, my V-ray lights are enormous compared to what I had before. Is there a way to fix the lights so it is back to it's original size that I intended to be? Or would it be easier to redo my lights? Please help~~ thank you in advance!

Select any light and check its "locator scale" (it should be in the lights attributes in a rollout called "UI" or "Object Display" - depends on the light type). If it's all set to 1, which is the default, then your scene scale might have changed. Then you should check the scene unit settings in Maya's settings and preferences > Preferences > Settings > Working units. By default it's a centimeter, I think.

You can also check if the scene units have changed and the lights have been scaled.
