  • a question about cloud coverage

i'm simulating a simple scene about simulating cloud with phoenix fd.i find the clouds can't cover the sphere even i adjusted the brush effect to 100%.my question is how to make the cloud totally cover the object.

    Hello,

Is this the cloud toolbar preset? If so, check the source's Smoke discharge - there is noise map there

    Cheers!

Ah, you can use the Load&Start button to load any cache as an initial state: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...imulation-Load

If you are going to use it for liquid sims though, make sure to get a latest nightly after Phoenix 3.05

A cloud like this should be easily achievable with the Large scale smoke quick preset. Maybe it would need a little bit tweaking the curves in Volumetric options (color, density, scattering...).
